Environmental Solution - Natural/Green Approach
Materials chosen for use in client facilities are selected for their efficacy and minimal environmental impact. In order to leave as small an environmental footprint as possible, we give preference to naturally occurring materials and processes. Since these materials come from the earth, we are merely using them and not creating anything new to be added to the environment. When equally effective, we choose the material and method which best meets the guidelines for Environmental Solution and remains within the framework nature gave us. When pesticide applications are required to address a specific pest issue, we:
- choose products and applications that are effective and low risk; low-odor, low-volatility and non- permanent; and naturally ecological
- strive to reduce waste by using environmentally-friendly methods which keep materials out of the environment
- give preference to materials and application methods that are target specific, minimizing non-target risk
- prioritize partnerships with product manufacturers committed to sustainability and the environment
- target breeding sources to eliminate all insect stages with the least pesticide and reduce the amount of hazard to the environment
- use non-threatening materials (such as insect light traps) wherever possible to control insects with the least environmental impact
About Deana
Deana Frye started Real Pest Solutions in April of '09. Deana moved to Arizona to study business and marketing at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Growing up in Rochester, NY, she hadn't experienced the fascinating diversity, size, and presence of bugs in the Southwest, so she started working for small pest control companies to become more acquainted. Her interest only grew with her experience as she worked for bigger and bigger pest control businesses and traveling throughout Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas for her employers. After 8 years in the industry she took the leap and started her own pest control business. Deana is a dog enthusiast and is certified in Animal Behavior, so starting a pet-safe pest control company was only 'natural'. She donates much of her spare time to Dog Rescues, training difficult dogs to be family pets.
Our Mission
By using natural pest control materials in conjunction with targeted solutions, we target only the pests and do no harm to pets or people. It is our belief that these natural solutions contribute to a healthy home, family, and community.
